REI Engineers, Inc. is seeking qualified candidates for the following positions:

 

Building Envelope Consultant (Charleston, SC) 

Major responsibilities include: 
  • troubleshooting building envelope issues
  • producing reports based on investigations
  • preparing construction specifications
  • providing technical support and guidance to staff as required
 
Minimum qualifications include:
  • graduation from an accredited college in a related discipline or equivalent experience
  • RCI credentials (RRC, RRO, RWC, REWC, or RBEC)
  • five (5) years of experience in a related field with at least two (2) years in project management

Building Envelope Engineering Technician (Charleston, SC) 
 
Major responsibilities include:
  • recording measurements
  • observing construction work in progress
  • making and repairing investigative openings in building construction
  • taking photographs
  • documenting observations in written reports and collecting field data for use in various aspects of consulting/engineering services such as proposals, specifications, and assessments
    • Field data may consist of roof plans, general notes including construction type, and details of existing conditions
    • Work will typically be performed on multiple projects simultaneously
 Minimum qualifications include:
  • high school graduate
  • Registered Roof Observer (RRO) preferred
  • five (5) years of experience with a consulting and/or engineering firm in a related field
