REI Engineers was hired by Library Associates, LLC to provide full-time monitoring + quality assurance observations of below-grade waterproofing for The Hotel Bennett, located in the heart of downtown Charleston at Marion Square.

The areas of waterproofing included the below-grade capping beam, below grade vertical + horizontal waterproofing and the detailing at approximately 367 piles. REI performed quality assurance observations on approximately 60,000 square feet of below grade waterproofing installation of the new Hotel. Inspections included finished substrates, beginning waterproofing installation, periodic intervals, and final inspection prior to concrete placement.
